The Jets are expected to release a number of players and/or coaches who were previously in their locker room, according to multiple sources.
The team has a number that it’s working on, according and other sources.
A source told ESPN that they’re working on the players that have been in the locker room for at least three years.
The source also said that it was “pretty clear” that the team was considering releasing some players that are on the roster.
The Jets have several high-profile free agents who have been part of the locker rooms of the team and/and coaches, including quarterback Geno Smith and wide receiver Devin Smith.
Smith and Smith have been linked to the Jets, and the Jets are reportedly considering trading them for several high draft picks.
