A woman’s choice of hair dye may have been the reason why her eyelashes got longer.
The New York Post reports that a white woman named Lizzy Kinsley, 63, who lives in California, decided to dye her hair with a mixture of brown, white and black hair dye.
“I’m a realist,” Kinsleys daughter said of her mother’s decision to dye.
Kinsly said she has seen the benefits of the product on her eyelids, but that she had been skeptical about it.
“For the longest time I was skeptical about using it because I thought it would hurt my eyes, but it hasn’t hurt my eyelashes at all,” Kinesley said.
“My eyelashes have grown in size because I use it daily.
I don’t have any issues.”
Kinsyls father, Bob Kinslys, who also has a daughter named Lizzie, said the product was very effective and that the product didn’t cause any damage to his daughter’s eyes.
Kinesleys daughter added that she would also recommend using the product for the rest of her life.
“It makes your eyelashes longer,” she said.
A woman named Elizabeth Gaffney also told the Post that her daughter, who was born with blemishes in her eyes, decided on a darker, more intense color than she had grown accustomed to.
“She was so excited and happy,” Gaffneys daughter said.
The Post reports the products have been popular with people over the years, and the Kinsys have given out about 2 million bottles since the company was founded in 1996.
It’s not clear how long the hair dye will last, but if it doesn’t damage the eyes, it’s likely to be discontinued.
The Post reports Kinsydiaries brand of hair-dye is available online at www.lizzykinsley.com.
